A while back I went to Oregon with a great friend of mine. We had an incredible time! It was my first time visiting the pacific northwest and I was absolutely stunned at how gorgeous it was. It was definitely cold and rainy as you’d expect, BUT we had such a great time enjoying what the city, mountains and beach had to offer. I’m sharing some of the things we saw while we were in Portland. One of my most favorite things about the city was visiting the International Rose Test Garden! I kept saying “are you kidding me” the whole time. Everything around me was so breathtaking! Also, this was the first time i’ve ever seen a blue tree! Yes, BLUE. It didn’t even look real, it was mesmerizing to look at.

If you know me, you know my favorite way to travel is by foot. In my opinion and experience it’s the best way to see a city. After wandering around we stumbled into a beautiful neighborhood called Laurelhurst. It was filled with vintage homes, colorful trees and unique plants lining the streets. I definitely wouldn’t mind living there. 🙂 We also ran into a couple of farmers markets where we saw beautiful flowers, ate delicious macaroons and taste tested a million different jams and jellies.

If Portland, Oregon isn’t on your list of places to visit…I hope after this post it is added on to that list. I’ve never been somewhere that no matter where you look you see plants and trees with so much life and color. I will be sharing some more of our other adventures across Oregon in the next few weeks! Stay tuned!!
